Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

When you create a Hoserr account, we collect your name, email, username, and the hockey details you choose to share — skill level, position, location, and availability. You can add as much or as little as you want. We also collect profile photos you upload and gear listing images.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data powers Hoserr: finding players near your level, showing rink reviews you care about, matching gear to your area, and tracking your progress. We never sell your personal information to third parties. We use your email to send account notifications — no spam, no marketing lists you didn’t sign up for.

3. What’s Public

Your player profile (username, skill level, position, and location) is visible to other Hoserr users. Your email address and full name stay private unless you choose to share them. Rink reviews, gear listings, and forum posts are public. Progress logs and confidence ratings are visible only to you unless you opt in to sharing highlights.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We use basic analytics to understand how people use Hoserr — which pages get visited, where people get stuck — so we can make the app better. We don’t use ad trackers or sell browsing data.

5. Data Security

Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, but no system is perfect — use a strong password and don’t share your login.

6. Your Rights

You can view, edit, or delete your account data at any time from your profile settings. Deleting your account removes your personal data, though anonymized reviews and posts may remain. You can request a full data export by emailing hello@hoserr.com.

7. Third-Party Services

Hoserr may integrate with third-party services for authentication (like Google Sign-In), image hosting, and forum functionality. These services have their own privacy policies, and we only share the minimum data needed for them to work.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Hoserr grows. We’ll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
